How we handle enquiries and information collected through this website.

What we collect
The enquiry form sends your details to MG Access through Resend, our email delivery provider, addressed to info@mgaccess.co.uk. It contains the name, email address, message and any optional phone number, company or site postcode you enter. We use these details to answer your enquiry, discuss a survey and prepare a quote. We do not sell or share them with third parties for marketing.
The form handler does not save your message on the web server. To limit spam and avoid duplicate emails, it keeps keyed hashes of network addresses and submissions, timestamps and delivery status. These temporary records expire after 24 hours and are then deleted, at the latest the next time the form is used. Resend processes the enquiry content to deliver the email and retains delivery records according to its service settings. Resend is based in the United States, so your enquiry may be processed outside the UK. Our hosting and email providers may also keep operational logs.
Our lawful basis under UK data protection law is that you have asked us to take steps before a possible contract, such as a survey or quote. For general questions, it is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to deal with the enquiry and any resulting order, and for the period required by law for business records. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time by emailing the address above.
Cookies and analytics
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how this website is used so we can improve it: which pages are visited and for how long, how visitors found the site, and how many click our phone number or email address, download a brochure or send an enquiry. We look only at the totals, not at individual visitors. Google Analytics never receives what you type into the enquiry form.
Google Analytics stays off until you choose Allow in the banner or turn it on below. It then sets two cookies on this site: _ga, which tells visits from the same browser apart, and _ga_ followed by our measurement ID, which keeps track of the current visit. Both expire 13 months after your last visit. Google works out your approximate location (country, region and city) from your IP address and then discards the address without storing it. It also records your browser, device type and the website that sent you here. Google acts as our data processor and may process this data outside the UK, including in the United States. We have turned off Google’s advertising features and do not let Google use the data for its own purposes. Detailed data is deleted after 14 months.
You can change your mind at any time with the switch below, which every page links to as Analytics settings. Turning analytics off stops it in this browser and deletes its cookies. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Don’t allow. We remember your choice in this browser’s storage, which sets no cookie. Our lawful basis is your consent.
Fonts are hosted on this website. The map in Find Us is embedded from Google Maps and connects to Google when it loads. Directions and Google review links also open Google’s website.
Google ratings
When available, the current star rating and review count are supplied by Google Maps through our server. This request does not send your enquiry details to Google. Use of Google Maps content is subject to Google Maps terms and Google’s privacy policy.
Your rights
